Dec. 3rd Update

Hello families,

This is Mr. Meeks. I had a great time this week getting to know all of the fantastic students in Room 2. L.B.S. has warmly welcomed me, and I appreciate the personal notes that I have gotten from my new students (they are so thoughtful!). Early in the week we focused on getting to know each other through games and writing tasks. As the week progressed we focused on the following: 

Room 2's Movement Minutes   

Thank you for sending in your child's movement minutes sheet. If you child has not submitted their tracking sheet please send it in by Monday, December 6th as the winning class will be determined on Tuesday, December 7th. 

Student Presentations 

Students shared their "mini books" with their classmates. They all did a great job! as I know how difficult public speaking can be. 

Venn Diagrams 

This week, we learned about Venn Diagrams. After learning about them as a whole class students picked their own two things to compare (making sure they followed the same theme). Next week students will apply their knowledge and compare three different animals (that we have discussed previously). 

                                               On the Weekend - Using Transition Words

Students were given the opportunity to reflect on their past weekend, using transition words to flow from idea to idea.

Reminders:

- Please send an extra mask with your child each day. 

- Students will be going outside each day! Please make sure they have appropriate clothing.
