Today in class we:
Math: Representing Numbers
- Reviewed how to use the "golden beads" math materials to represent ones, tens and hundreds visually
- Students were given double and triple digit addition questions (without regrouping) to represent by drawing ones, tens and hundreds in their math journals
Literacy: "Qu" Word Work
- We reviewed common "qu" words, and the class had many to share!
- After reviewing the words, students were asked to include them in two alliteration sentences
Social: Mapping Terms
- We looked at a globe, and discussed its features
- We then learned about poles, hemispheres, and the equator
Students also enjoyed library, gym, and music time today.
Fun lunches from Booster Juice were also a success! Coming up we have Subway on February 3rd, and then Little Caesars on February 16th
