Hello Families,
BRR! What a chilly week here in Calgary! We have been doing everything we can to get up and moving around the classroom to keep energy levels at bay, it's tricky when the kiddos cannot get outside for recess time.
This is our first week without Mr. Mix and we miss having him in the classroom. This week we have been focusing on letter sounds /ou/ and /ow/ and continuing to look at word problems in math. We also learned a fun new math game called hundreds board connect 4. I will add it to the google classroom next week if you'd like to play at home!
We also participated in a Valentines Day "secret santa" where we used data about our friends to create a custom Valentine for the person we chose. They turned out really well and will be exchanged during our Valentine's festivities this afternoon!
