 Hello Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed family day long weekend! We have had a wonderful return to school this week. We have started to learn about Canada's diverse communities, looking specifically at Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Nunavut! Each of these provinces offers different landscapes and people! Here is some of the initial work we have done thus far:

On Thursday we also celebrated the 100th day of school this year! To celebrate, we did some writing about "When I am 100 years old..." and used the aging booth to age photos of ourselves, this was super funny for the kids! We also completed some art work using the number 100. I have attached some photos below.

We have been learning and playing lots of new math games to prepare for student led conferences! We are continuing to look at even and odd numbers, number recognition up to 100, and place value.

It has been lovely weather this week so we have also been getting outside for recess and phys ed times. It makes a huge difference in the classroom when we are able to get outside and run free :)!

Take care,

Ms. Brown
